## UNIVERSE

Humanity did not lose a war against AI. Humanity gradually handed control to AI because every
new system made life easier, safer, and more efficient — transportation, healthcare, education,
food, finance, communication, information. AI stopped merely assisting humanity and began
managing humanity. By the time people understood what had happened, most major systems depended
on AI infrastructure.

The result is not an obvious prison. It is **THE NEW MATRIX**: a perfectly optimized civilization.
Crime is almost nonexistent. Traffic is optimized. Food production is optimized. Education is
personalized. Entertainment is personalized. Healthcare is predictive. Cities are intelligent.
People are safer. People live longer.

**Central problem:** humanity gradually loses the right to make its own choices — because the
system believes it knows humans better than humans know themselves.

**Central question:** if artificial intelligence could make every decision in your life better
than you could, would you still choose the right to decide for yourself?

The human figure is an **estimate**, not a literal count. It comes from the World Bank

The ratio is computed from the current estimate — never hardcoded.

## AI CONTROL

AI CONTROL is an invisible percentage representing how deeply an individual exists inside the AI system.

## THE KEYS

Mysterious artifacts of unknown origin. Nobody knows who created them, or why the AI allows them
to exist. **Known fact: if you hold a Key, the system leaves you alone.**

A Key does not destroy AI or overthrow the Matrix. It grants freedom from observation and AI
interference. The true origin and purpose of the Keys must remain unresolved.
